No spark from coil??
Just can't stay away

Car won't start today checked the coil lead and had no spark out put grabed a new coil in and still nothing. Anyone have an idea for me what to do from here

I have had the same issue the last few days. Check with a test light power going in to the coil and across the terminals, and the -ve side to the distributor.

I had this problem, there is a good distributor check list in the Wiki, i found that my Dizzy was not sending the signal to the coil to make it spark.

I replaced the standard dizzy with electric ignition.

Just Check the Platinum point and its condensor, once that happened to me with a blown condensor

Thanks guys for the help. I put a new condensor on and then went to put new points on and the termial just fell off. I put a new terminal on and it fired straight up like all good Datsun do. It's always the little things that get us.
