Megasquirt costs a lot if all you want is crank-trigger ignition.

Here's my 1200 with EDIS:

Your wish is my command. I ended up mounting it here on the core support next to the radiator:

Can somebody help me make the wiring look nice?

For late 1200 utes, with the battery in front, the stock coil location works well:

The Ford coil pack is designed to mount on the Kent cylinder head, so I think mounted directly on the A12 and use short plug wires would be the ultimate. But I couldn't figure out how to make a bracket for that. I'm not good at fabricating things, but figured out how to do this EDIS install.

Almost 2 years now, still runs perfect. A rock-solid idle is the most noticeable thing.

* It is electronic -- no points
* It is hotter spark than Datsun electronic ignition
* It produces a rock-solid idle, probably because there is no gear lash and other play as in the distributor
* New vacuum advance unit is $75 (and most are broken), I have $120 in this setup
* I can tune the mechanical and the vacuum advance with a laptop

So far I've only got the A12 stock map, haven't experimented with extra timing.

This would be great for E15 or GA16 with rwd 5-speed.
