About 175 to 225 reliable hp from a stock A15 with bolt on bits. add up to 100 more for a race prepped engine. The $$$$ and knowledge are the usually the limiting factors.

These engines seem to respond well to a turbo.
Surely you have tried Ernie.

My STOCK A12 makes 180HP with bolt ons and 190kpa. An A15 could make the same power with a lower MAP.

The figures i mentioned are not hypothetical, Its been done. I think it was over 300 on a Dyno Dynamics. You could probably add another 30 or so on an engine dyno. Someone will post a link as i dont know how.

Another way to look at it is this. A good race NA A15 could make 150HP. Now double the manifold pressure. That same engine would make about 270Hp and thats only running 15 PSI.

I will add that i was being a bit optomistic saying 225Hp on a stock motor and have reliability. But i`ll stand by the other figures.

Topgear made 97KW ATW (about 160 at the flywheel)with a draw through carb, no intercooling and pump gas on an A12 and 18psi. Not that i would think it would be very reliable without intercooling.

My A12 made 150HP ATW (about 170 at the flywheel) with only 14psi. (old engine with new cast rings only) I think an A15 should be able to do it easier.

Ernie, I think someone like yourself could make 300HP+ if you put your mind to it.

Ummmmm, I hate to split hairs here but your STOCK [non GX] Datsun A12 engine produces about 68 HP.

If it produces more than this, then clearly it isn't stock.
If you are running 190,000 pascals of boost then you have a blower or turbo & no A12 ever came stock with one of these.

Your BLOWN A12 therefore produces whatever you said, but not your stock one.
