I have one I need to sell. I'm moving to Germany in 2 mo. but theres one little problem...I live in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. I want $750.00 US for it. It runs but will need to be
re-built. The engin block matches the body as far as numbers go.
you can see a picture of it under pictures, "little blue dat"

I just looked at the photo of your 'little blue dat' sedan. That is my dream car. I love the ride and feel of the sedan. If you still have it in a couple of weeks, I want it.
I am in Knoxville, Email me at mareospeedwagon1@yahoo.com

Dudeacus, I want the car if at all possible. I have everything to make the car look like it rooled off of the asembly line. I have had two sedans. One, a 1971, I rolled over and the dash,
bumpers, motor, trans, and almost every bolt on part are perfect. I have had these parts for fifteen years, looking for a sedan to buy. This is the first one that I have seen since then
that was for sale. I bought my first Datsun sedan new in 1972. I put over 300,000 miles on it. That one was Mareo Speedwagon I. I love the way the sedan drives and rides. They have a much
smoother ride than the coupes. I will pay more than $725. I want the car, please. Email me at

Mareo,
Call it a dumb question, but do you suppose the sedan has a smoother ride than the Coupe because the sedan is heavier?I may be wrong, but I would imagine that the sedan and
coupe have the same suspension and driveline but the sedan has taller roof pillars and bigger and heavier glass all around.

In my books, the sedan weighs in at 1499 pounds dry weight. The Sedan Deluxe weighs 1525 pounds.
The coupe weight 1577 pounds. I have only seen the Sedan Deluxe, never any regular sedans.
The shocks onthe coupe are straight up and dpwn over the rear axle where as the Sedan shocks are at an angle thereby having a less headon dampening effect and riding smoother. You are
correct that the roofline is taller. Also the Sedan is a lot less aerodynamic and pulls a larger vacuum area behind it than the coupe. In new stock form, my1972, 68 HP, 4-speed Sedan would
do 94 MPH. My 1973, 69 HP automatic would top out at 107. I am sure that most of the speed difference is in the body aerodynamics. I took my sedan to 138 RPM and I almost shudder to think
what that little turboed 1171cc motor would have pulled the sedan to. I am not wanting the Sedan for handling or speed, I want it as a daily driver. I love the way they look. The sedans have
a classy style that no other little car has ever made me appeal to. I still have a coupe that will do 125 MPH. It has a 1400 motor and dogleg 5-speed. I have another coupe that badly needs
new floor metal, it has the 1171 motor that should have some headwork and headers on it. I haven't driven it yet. I have had seven 1200s in the
past, two sedans and five coupes. I love the sedan feel and looks.

I figured "Deluxe" was Nissan US's way of making us feel better about a car that came without radio or carpet or tachometer <smile>.

All the sedans I've seen said "Deluxe" in a round black medallion on the sides of the car. The sedans were all plain, but I've seen several coupes that came
with factory carpeting.

I don't have anything against the 1200 sedan,I think its a nice looking car. Its just that the coupe has always been the most desired car on my list since I was 14 years old back in 1972.(I
know my profile says I m 34, but thats a typo. I m 43.) Back then I had seen 1200 sedans on the road, but I never guessed it was the same car as the coupe. I actually thought the 1200 sedan
was a 510 with a 1200 motor!( as a teenager I was pretty naive and I didnt pay much attention to the difference in body styles between the 1200 sedan and the 510 back then.)
I presently have 2 coupes, one is my project car with a b-210 engine, driveline and complete front and rear suspensions. I had to swap all this stuff on it from a B-210 bcause that coupe was
just a shell when I got it and I couldnt find any 1200 parts for it. It looks and drives pretty good now. It has a bright red paint job. The other coupe is a bone-stocker that I picked up
last August. Thats the next project that I m going to restore.
