Jaime,
Like I told once, I was having the same rough idle problem with the a-14 engine that I put into my coupe.(Timing mark jumping back and forth under the timing strobe light). I decided to
replace the electronic ignition with plain old points and condenser, and that solved the problem. I m not sure if it was the electroinic transistor box or not, but its worth a try for
you to try the other box and see if theres an improvement. I know that being a '76 with smog equipment, you can't put points and condensor distributor in yours, though.

Ok, guys
I got the 1200 motor out of my coupe, and partially disassembled,in preparation for rebuilding. I havent taken off the crankshaft pulley yet, but before I begin, can someone tell
me which way (clockwise or counterclockwise) the crankshaft piulley bolt is loosened? Its been a while since I rebuilt a Datsun engine ansd I guess I forgot.

No,the windshields for the sedan and coupe are not the same. The sedan has a taller roofline, therefore a taller windshield
than the coupe.

Well, Mareo,
If you ever do come down California Way, we can spend some time in my tidy little 1200 garage/ shop having Coors Lites(nah, forget that beer is kinda wimpy compared to moonshine)
and chatting about your adventures across the U.S. and showing off our 1200's I 'll bet your Moonshine is loads better than even than Jack D.'N'Coke (Coca Cola)LOL I do drive to
Nashville Tennessee with my wife every spring or summer to visit my in-laws, but they don't allow any drinking at their house.

Mareo,
Just wondering where you got a new fender for your coupe? I can make any fender or panel look new again, but its a lot of work, bondo, sanding, bondo again, primer, primer, etc.
It would be nice if I could find a flawless new fender or hood for once. Or did you mean you got a "new" used fender from another 1200?

All B210 parts will bolt on a 1200 with some modifications, but its either all B-210 drivetrain, front crossmember ,engine struts, linkage, driveshaft, rear end and leaf springs
or nothing at all. The 1200 parts match up with nothing on the B210. Somebody, correct me if I m wrong, but I ve done it before.

At the time, I wasn't aware the 210 control arms would bolt right up to the 1200 crossmember, but I had to replace the 1200 x-member anyway cause it was messed up. However, I did have
a junker B-210 handy at the time, and thats why I decided to transfer the B-210 components to my "roller" 1200.Anyway, thanks for the 210 tip I ll remember that next time I want to
make a swap.

Thanks guys. I get the idea. the A12A pistons will not fit in the A12without modifications. The guy on Ebay is pretty sure they're 73.5 pistons, though. I'm going to go ahead
and buy them.If they dont fit, I only wasted $45.00
