Blew the head gasket on my ute last week, pulled the head off yesterday and found the water jackets need repairing. To be honest i cant be bothered getting this done so might as well get rid of the whole lot. The ute is a 71 model with an A14 engine and gearbox to suit. Has been my daily and farm ute for the past 7 years and has never let me down until now. Body has the usual Datsun rust, the drivers side sill panel had a big rusty hole in it. I have 2 spare front guards and a drivers side door in good condition that can go with it. The diff gets a bit noisy over 80 KPH but keeps on going. Has coupe disk break front end.

Complete ute is for sale $1300 unreg or $1750 with Victorian reg till August 2013.

Better still, has anybody got a head in reasonable condition I could bolt on just to get it going. Don't have much time on my hands between now and January.

The two water jackets at the rear of the head have eaten away up to the firing ring. It would need to be welded up and machined. CAN YOU DO THAT.
