Currently in japan for a holiday to check out the country and do some skiing. So far so good. Boy is it currently cold , few out of Sydney late last night with typical summer weather to japan with 2 degrees and snowing in Tokyo.
Anyway, hopefully I can try a find some b-series sunny's, and maybe find some of those rare parts etc.

Lastly , the family and I took a bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto, what an amazing piece of engineering, cruising comfortably over 200 kph quiet and efficient.

Cheers
Benny

Back in Tokyo, unfortunately I haven't seen any 1200's as yet. Micro cars are all the go in the big cities. Diahatsu are very popular as is Suzuki and Honda. All with small capacity engines like we get in oz, but more often than not they are turbo variants.

Managed to go to the Toyota history garage today. So many classic machines picked off the assembly floor and never driven. They even had a few datsuns and isuzu's. An emasculate p510 two door and an amazing z432 with S20 power. Same power plant as the hakosuka gtr. Closest bit of kit I could find to our B110 was an original ( as raced) Toyota 3k 1300 ts cup engine out of the starlet. These babies are a twin cam , mechanical injection with slide throttle body inlet. Titanium mandrel exhaust. It was just sitting on an engine stand pushed into a corner gathering dust. The staff were amazed I was most interested in the engine instead of the F1 powerplant about 3m adjacent.

I have pics but I don't seem to be able to upload as attachment on an iPhone. Any pointers an I will give it a go
