Picked up car today from getting the exhaust done on my ca conversion.

Finally get to test drive it only to find this horrendous banging sound around the gbox area. Only happens on acceleration/deceleration moving forward. Reverse is fine.

It also there if i load the car up on the brakes in 1st.

Gbox was fine when on my l20b (stumpy gbox with bearing replaced)

Now its got me wondering what it most likely is.

- incorrect angle
- unbalanced shaft (although i had it balanced)
- lowering blocks not letting the suspension flex in the rear
- incorrect length of sharft

Anyone else have any ideas to throw in?
Hopefully get under it tomorrow night.

New Exhaust may have insufficient clearance therefore hitting when engine "torques"?
