With the Green turbo efi Ute finished I've got started on de-trimming the Coupe to get WRAPPED

Yes WRAPPED- this may cause some "disturbance in the force" but I'm able to get it done for basically the cost of the wrap so hey, if it turns out C..p then I can always go back to paint.
Cant tell you what colour cause I haven't fully decided - Leaning towards
Orange , Black or combo? or ........

I've already shortened 40mm off a H165 Diff so I can get -3 offset, 13 x 7 wheels under the back guards with no problem ( mrbarista is sending down an LSD center as I type )
3" lowered springs done( not fitted ) with recessed bump stop mods planned
Coilovers/cambertops bought - to be fitted
Rear 280zx disc mod planned for the front

The only real body work will be a 'de Badge' and 'severe Bumper shave' to get them as small and as close as possible.

Will go to 'Stage 2' on an A15 EFI Turbo this time, up from 87kw to hopefully 120+ ATW. Short motor machined and ready for assembly
Have a 60 series 5 spd to go behind it.

Will put progress photos up on the w/end

OK you've got my attention. I look forward to seeing this progress.

So can you tell us whether the wrap will be a matt or gloss finish....or should we just wait and see.

Edit: Just got your 'Soup of the day' 'Coupe of the day' title. Hope it will have a snail in the engine bay,

I'm looking forward to seeing this. My main question is, when you say colour "combo", do you mean there will be some sort of fade between the 2 colours? Or have you come up with some other design entirely?

cadet1200 - The wrap will probably be a Satin finish and yes (from R32) this car will have a snail and it will leave a trail

flatto - Combo i was contemplating was Orange with Black roof/bonet/boot

Most race cars these days are wrapped so the
colour can be changed quickly to suit sponsor
requirements.

I'm very interested how you get on.
Please ad pictures of the process as you
go if you can.

Thanks
Geoff

Ok - Its been a while so I thought an undate was due.
Have canned the wrap idea cause it was still going to cost way too much
just for the good quality vynl itself. oh well paint it is.
Have loaded a few photos so you can get a before and after jist
Since last time I've fitted
1) the shortend H165 diff( pick up the 3.9 torsen LSD center tomorrow)
2) the lowered springs and euro' bushes
3) supafatto coilovers and camber/caster tops
4) 245mm stanza disc conversion ( will post up how to photos later )
5) rooled guard lips and preped body for prime ( just waiting for a little warmer weather )
6) 185/70's onto 7" superlites ( loads of room with the shorter diff )
7) front and rear bumpers shaved

Hope to have the 'Venus Orange' on by the end of Oct

Awesome work, Can't wait to see it painted up. Looks tough with those 7" rims in the rear, great idea.
