stanza gearbox?

i found a 5 speed stanza box, are they good for datto 1200s? what should i watch out before i buy it? how hard are they to get into the 1200?

These will work with the L-Series Engines. You might be able to graft it onto the Series 3 Bluebird Bellhousing for use with a CA18.

I've not heard of anyone using it for an A-Series or CA-Series.

I wouldn't bother with it. Unless you have a stanza, or are desperate for an L-Series gearbox.

Feral Errol had some stanza boxes with A series bellhousings about 6 mths ago. I think
Is this true Errol ???
And if so did you mod a bellhousing to suit or did you find some specials?

I stand corrected

It'd be great if you could get it working. 5 speeds are a must with a 3.9+ diff.

pipe dream i reckon, big job to make a bellhousing to fit, i think i remeber them on datrats aswell and they certainly were not cheap!

i spose once youve got the bellhousing its a peice of pie finding replacement boxes cheap
