I tried placing the positve to the bronze part and negative to steel metal part did not work. I tried placing both wires at the end of the bulb and didn't work either.
I'm sure the bulb is working.

Front Indicator's PICs

Any ideas how to install this indicator?

thanks

Is the bulb 12V?

Are you sure you are using the correct wires?

I suspect the bulb is buggered. Have you measured for 12V from the 2 wires that you are using?

Light Bulbs aren't polarised (nothing to do with Peter Brock...)

My memory has it looking like a tourist souvenir "snow dome" looking thing that had red and blue plastic bits/electronis in it. It wasn't battery powered nor did it have any power source at all. But I think it attached to the underbonnet, and it was supposed to align the molecules in the petrol and molecules in the engine block to provide more power and increased engine life...It was an absolute ripoff..Even less believable than these magnetic quilts for your bed.. I've not seen anything about it since it was on the news back in the 80s. So this is the limit of my information on Brocky's polarizer..

The polariser was a container with crystals in it that, from memory, sat on the back parcel shelf. Brockie and his wife were under the influence of a `guru' who convinced them that these `magical' crystals were a `cure all'. The polariser was supposed to make the car better in every regard by `aligning' everything so that it all worked in harmony.

Brockie's refusal to drop the very controversial polariser from the HDT cars led to 2 versions being produced. One had the crystals and Brock's signature the other was sold without either. Shortly afterwards Brock and Holden parted ways leaving the door open for Tom Walkinshaw to come in and start a little operation by the name of Holden Special Vehicles.

To this day Brockie refuses to discuss the `polariser days'. This is all from my overworked memory banks so I apoligise if it's not all correct. Do a search on the net if you're keen to find out more.

if you want to know more about the polariser debacle, try & get a copy of 'the rise & fall of peter brock'by bill tuckey.interesting.did you know all the 'scientific' testing was a gee up from someone brock knew at the gm testing grounds is america.this fellow convinced all the test drivers to rave about how much better the cars were when fitted with the polarisers, when really they could'nt feel any difference.brock fell for it hook, line & sinker,& proceeded to make a major goose of himself on the world stage.
