um is there anyone that knows anyone that is selling a datto 1600 ute in new zealand?? its gotta be old skool tho like around tha 1980's mark

I didn't know that they made a 1600 ute.
They made a commercial model with a 1600 engine in Cab chassis, Pickup, & flat bed models, with or without drop sides, but a 510 ute, thats a new one on me.

Here goes an A15 1200...but I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for. Maybe there's a 720 with an L16 or a 620 with...something

Some Guy in Adelaide or Perth Australia created a 1600 Ute from a Wagon. It turned out really good. I think we have photos on the site here, otherwise I've seen them on some other Aussie Datto site.

I'd always been worried that such big work (without a spot welder) creates lots of rusty pockets where rust killer can't reach.

If I find the photos I'll post them. Maybe this fella is looking for unicorns..

I believe the ute he's looking for is a 1500 ute, they are very similar to 1600's front end wise, but from memory they have a flat bed tray, they are powered by a j15 motor or something, definetly not a-series anyway, I want the limited slip diff out of one...
