looking for anyone interested in Fibreglass GX 1200 bonnets , we will be producing a set number through the fibreglass dept at Motorsport Solutions Australia in brisbane , price expected to be around $300 each ,

m interested if they can be used legally on the street ( some people say can't be used for street use if fibreglass) and how much would freight to sydney 2155 be?

they are allowed on road cars prior to a certain date, when front panels wern't considered crumple zones

cant remember the exact year but it was in the seventies

i rang up to clarify what the rules stated and basically any panels in front of the firewall on cars prior to that year could be replaced with fiberglass

There is an RTA technical division that you can ring for those of us in NSW, they should be able to tell you... I just haven't got the number with me its at home.
