Hey guys,

Just signed up as it looks like this is the place to be for datto 1200 discussions :)

I just bought a running and rust free 1985 1200 ute, so I can restore it for my old man as a surprise gift (to replace the one he had 20 years ago).

I'm in the process of getting the body ready for paint, but wondering if anyone has any experience with interior trimmers in Sydney?

I need the original seats and door cards retrimmed, plus some matching carpet and the dash restored, all in brown. Ideally I want it all to look as stock as possible, only new.

Any advice appreciated.

sounds like a great project this site will be a great help :)

you can buy brand new door cards and alot of interior parts brand new original.. bprojects will have the door cards, dash, kick panels, centre console ect...

knox auto carpets will be able to supply brown moulded carpet

only thing to get re-trimmed will be the seats

I had a problem with Knox carpets in that the tunnel is too big. That's AFTER I put in an Auto tunnel

Thanks loosekid,

I contacted Bprojects and it seems they don't have stock of any brown parts. I have them all (apart from the steering wheel), they are just a bit worn and tired looking.

I guess getting the parts reconditioned is another option. I have seen some companies work magic on dash repairs.
