Maintenance

See main article: Valve adjustment

Removal & Installation

  1. Remove the Cylinder Head
  2. Compress the valve springs and remove the keepers, then the springs
  3. Slide valve out of the head
  4. Coat valve mating surface with grinding compound. Slide new valve in and lap the valve. Clean the compound off.
  5. If needed, remove old seals and put new seals on
  6. Re-fit the valve springs
