Datsun 1200 original upholstery was a very lightweight material. Colors available varied by market. Most common was black vinyl seats and door panels, beige headliner and interior panel trim, and blue rubber floor mats.

Japan * black vinyl * yellow vinyl * cloth with various patterns & color (GL and GX trims)
USA * black vinyl * beige vinyl
Australian-assembled sedans were offered with a variety of seat colors including red and blue.
1973 USA upholstery to meet USA fire-resistant regulations. White or blue at first, and in mid-year black became available.

Original Type
Covers are made from two vinyl materials:
- inserts: 1/2" square pattern vinyl cut on 45° angle
- perimeter cloth: Leather-like vinyl
The Sedan seats have five wide pleats sewn down the center.
The Coupe seat have five thin pleats sewn down the center.
For a replacment, these are similar:

Seat covers fold under and are attached via hog rings (hook rings)
