Door cards (door interior trim panels) — which Nissan calls "door finishers" — for Datsun 1200 were available in different styles.

Overview
Door cardsᵂ (or as they say in American, door panels) are the interior door covering. Sometimes called the door lining. Not to be confused with the door sheet metal.
The original door panels are made out of fiberboardᵂ, and covered with vinylᵂ.
Coupe door panels will fit on a 2dr sedan with some very minor mods. The panel may sit a bit higher than the original panel but basically it's just a matter of enlarging the window winder hole. Oh, and it's harder to fit but it works.
Early Truck door cards are the same as 4-dr sedan.
The factory visqueenᵂ protects the door cards from moisture. This polyethylene sheet is affixed to the door with sealer before the door cards are fitted. The black bead of rubber sealant is similar to RTV but stickier, thicker and never gets hard. Automotive grade.

Removal & Installation
To remove the door card:
- Coupe: unscrew the door lock pull knob
- using a table knife or putty knife, slip between card and door until a clip is located. then gently pull clip out of door

To install:
- re-align/center the #clips on the back of this finisher panel
- insert panel into door
- Coupe: place card over top of door (centered over the lock pull), then push down
- Sedan: fit card into upper channel
- flex card into bottom channel
- preliminarily line up clips with holes (get the clips started into the caps)
- gently — with the palm of your hand — pushing panel over each clip. Push fully into the clip cap receptables

Coupe finishers cover the entire door (sedan finishers do not cover the top of the door).

Van
Wagon used the same front door cards as sedan. In the used the Sedan Standard card, except for Deluxe van which used a specific finisher panel.
