Re: Low compression. I removed the cylinder head from my 1200GX engine this afternoon to find this. I had loaned my 1000 sedan to my brother for the last three years of it's life when he finally bought his own car. He returned my car to me about a year later behind a tow truck, quite dead. I'm guessing that this is why he gave up driving it.

Re: Low compression. No matter as it's getting a total rebuild with A15 sized valves, new seats to suit, modest port tidy up, micro polished combustion chambers & anything else that Feral figures is justified in a strictly street setup.
All it needs is to be brought up to specs that match up to the engines new displacement & it's intended use. We are shooting for efficiency, not all out performance. It will run on LFF [Lead Free Fuel] as well. Gotta go with the times & the cat converter will help keep it smog friendly.
