| polishing the back of the nlet valves is a very good idea. It drastically reduces the amount of carbon that can build up here and restrict flow. I did this with 2 power drills, a vice, some emery tape, and some imagination... |

 Re: DIY porting - valve Yes, but you need to watch how you do it because if you leave nicks in the valve this will make a hot spot and can cause the valve to break.

Re: DIY porting - valve if you kept using wet and dry paper...while wet the scratching would be just about non existant. Or mabey use some of that brite shine mag wheel cleaner? that cotton wading that comes in a can
