Here is a pic of my Sunny. Currently being built to compete in the Improved Production class in NSW and eventually around Australia. Powered by FJ20 Turbo, controlled by Motec, Mazda brakes up front, commodore at the rear, H190 diff with ex works stanza LSD centres (Alloy carriers 4.11 & 4.875). Check out my website for the whole story and for progress pics along the way.

 Re: Racing Sunny
the early round headlight sunny's are rather pretty!
They sold a GX 310 coupe here in NZ, which had A14, 5 Speed, round headlights and the early bumpers, taillight and grill.

You never see them anymore, although there's still the odd A15 SGX later model one around...

Thanks guys.....I think??????

I would rather the car look tough...but Pretty is better than ugly I guess!

Car now sits better too..... I replaced the rear springs with the correct height units. Now sits more level, and looks less like a Torana - excpet for the flares - which were actually modelled off the Torana items - well spotted!

 Re: Racing Sunny
Thanks dude,

We just ran our first full NSW State level race meeting at Eastern Creek....... I learnt sooo much about the car it's not funny. I now have a list as long as my arm of things to get done over the summer. The engine and gearbox are already out of the car, and the head has been removed from the block and will be dropped of to Stew Wilkins Tomorrow (thursday) for some work.....then I'll rebuild the bottom end and re-assemble the engine, hopefully adding a new turbo with a new restrictor design and new cold airbox also......

Also I am upgrading the gearbox to an RB20 (R32) gearbox, re-designing the front suspension (completely rebuilding the front struts), re-designing the fuel system (in boot), plus lots of other little things......we have about 16 weeks to get it all done, and get the car back on track in February for a test day......
........ I just need to win Lotto!

for some reason, everytime I look at that photo I mistake it for an LH - LX torana, I think its the stance at the front and the guard flares.
