Re: a15ett progress im so happy right now it looks awesome doesnt it, hehe this time one and four cylinders blow one turbo, and two and three the other, this way the exhaust blows to alternating turbos as opposed to two blast into one, then two into the other (think firing order: 1-3-4-2 )

Re: a15ett progress the inlet parts of the flange accross the head will be removed tommorow, and the injection will bolt directly to the head, better for design but also as you can see the port holes dont line up correctly (they were for a circle port head, this is now on an oval port head)

Re: a15ett progress hey nice work 1200rc, just one question, id say uve overcome this, unless ur using datsun injection manifold, is it possible to make ur own injection manifold by using commodore injectors and fuel rail and finding a appropriate throttle body, and then just fabricating the plenum and that to suit these parts? are there any additional parts to an injection system than what i have said? the reason being i am planning on building a a15 with either a corolla 4agze blower or supra blower and just gathering information.

Re: a15ett progress its possible, thats pretty much all there is to injection (not including computer and air flow meter of course), but it would be a reasnobly big job but, i have the factory injection, so im not going to those lengths, i would think it would be easier to make a quad throttle body injection are you thinking of blow through or suck through, i wanna see a blow through super setup, i reckon it would be much better than suck through give the manifold making thing ago, dimlight made his own once, cant remeber what name he gave it but he posted photos of it, would be a good start to check it out and have a chat to him, (i think he called it "DM1" or something like that) ill link it in a minute

Re: a15ett progress i am going to go with a suck through because i already have two su carbies at home and it seems to be the much easier way to go, all i gotta do is save up the money and then i can start. ill only make a injection manifold if the carby set up is no good but for me being a everyday car i think it will be perfect, also im going to use the toyota blower as it has a clutch and can be switched on and off good for fuel economy. it also gives me a chance to have a cool missle switch set up hehehe

Re: a15ett progress yeah cool, i think the missle switch will stay in one position though, you gonna use twin carbie for it???

Re: a15ett progress i had to bump this one cause i reckon its co cool and i wanted datsterr to see it
we finished welding it all together today and the exhaust is now all connected up too, i have written a list of things to do and there is suprinisgly little left, but there is a bit of parts chasing so dont expect it running for at least 2.5weeks-3 weeks from now

Re: a15ett progress funding has been an issue so im putting a weber 32/36 on for now, then i will collect the bits to complete the injection,
im not boxing the carby and am going to try just the plastic fuel floats and standard head running 7psi boost
see how it goes, i'd say three weeks and she'll be on the road, i can't wait, will tell ya how it goes from there

Re: a15ett progress heads shaved, dizzy has been modified for "boost retard", so assembling this weekend
i was fiddling with a quad throttle body setup from a honda cbr600F4i (our fomula sae car motor), and was noticing how it could easily be adapted to a webber manifold for a pretty sweet little quad throttle body injection setup, butterflies i think were 36mm, food for thought, but those throttle bodies are pretty late model only so probably a bit expensive atm

Re: a15ett progress hmm, not much worth taking a picture of yet
i did figure out exactly how to wire in a falcon alternator now, just gotta buy some connectors to do it,
unfortunately my friend that was supposed to be helping me this weekend bailed on me, so i wont get as much work done as i hoped
the dizzy was weighted to give advance with revs, but somehow the vacuum advance was changed in a way that boost will rotate the centre of the dizzy anti-clockwise, instead of clockwise as it does with vacuum advance, cost $154 (mechanic got him down apparently spossed to be 190 or something) to get done including a new sleeve on the shaft as the old was screwed, bit of a shock really as i was thinking it was getting regraphed for around $60, but my mechanic got it done, i guess he figured he was happy to wait for payment as he didnt ask me before he had it done

Re: a15ett progress well my mate was suppose to come help me all weekend but never showed up, so i didnt get as much done as i hoped, but i have done a fair bit, i have finished the carby box, and mocked up the entire setup,
looks like i need a bonnet scoop of some sort to clear the carby box, dunno if this is a good thing or not really, but basically all i need to do is assemble the inlet and exhausts with appropriate gaskets, make up some new wastegate actuator arms and plumb up all the fuel lines, oil lines and boost signal etc etc
cant wait!!!!!, oh yeah i gotta paint the front gaurds and put em on aswell
