My old 1968 Datsun 1000.
Went to the junkyard running with a blown hedgasket and a slipping clutch.

you could just get some halogen lights to replace the 55 candlepower (sorry watts - allegedly) sealed beams. But if you like the look of spotties, go with the 180mm round ones - they suit cars with round headlights much better.

Yeah, go the big round ones if you want the rally look.

Or the other option is to hide a couple of smaller drving lights behind the grille or somewhere like that, if you wanna keep the front looking nice.

Personally I reckon the driving lights look better than original. I will attach them so they go on when I put high beam on. They will look so tuff.
What do you reckon about a sunroof in my wagon??
I reckon It would be cool!!!!!

If it's just the ability to see where you are going that you need, then install a couple of Hella QH replacement inserts, along with the standard 60/55 QH bulbs & supply them with power through a relay that is fed direct from the starter terminal of the battery. Use a good size wire & ensure that each headlight is PROPERLY earthed. You will be amazed just how much light they produce. Use more powerfull bulbs if you wish, but do the math & make sure that you are not going to overtax whatever altenator that you are running.

Add driving lights too if you want, but upgrade the headlights first as this will ensure that you can see when you are going when on LOW beam.
I have done this on every Datsun i have owned. The only extra lights that i ever added were fog lights. My 200B has 400w of QH high beam power [4 lights]. Who would need more for street duty?
Chris

P.S. I have never yet seen a sunroof that did not eventually leak, & when you finally get sick of that, it's a big & expensive job to restore the damage to the roof.

for sure a shame for a 2 door B10 off to the wreckers, if only we'd known back then...
