Why does this A15[?] head have

1. Only the one stud between the inlet ports? It looks like it never ever had the two studs either side of the inlet port pairs like a regular A15 has.

2. Blind plugs in holes above the exhaust ports of No.'s 3 & 4 cylinder.

This looks to be a very interesting head.

I dont think this head started life on an A15... I think its and A12 thats been welded and ported...

Does Tony Marsh do Formula Ford engines in NZ??

thought some of you might be interested in this engine
I have no idea what other engines Tony works on, just know he did this one. He has done plenty of a series engines for mini stock though.
Sorry couldnt answer your questions, i got the head worked already from a guy who had no clue
All i can say is its nuts.
The intake manfold fits nicely and i have no dout in my mind in its performance

I suspect that you are right. The two roll pins that are used as dowels will ensure that the manifold is correctly aligned, but if this engine is intended for street use, then I suspect that it might prove to be a dissapointment.

For balls-to-the-wall racing however, it looks a winner.
