The small diameter crank pulley is to spin the water pump slower, not faster.
The idea is to keep the pump below the speed where it cavitates while the engine is running at speeds much higher than it ever saw as a stocker.
Does it actually run the alternator on the left side of the engine?

Who actually owns this thing & what's the plan for it?

Sorry bout that.I was writing it and stopped and thought, wait doesnt it spin it slower but i got told faster so i wrote faster
I actually own this motor and the plans for it are to make it half road legal but race it on the track.
I know most of you are going to say OH GOOD LUCK with making that insane motor road able but im gonna give it a try.

Cam has been reground but i have no specs on it... DAM. will just have to see how lumpy it is when i run it

And yes it runs the alternator on the left side of the engine.
The larger oil pump has taken up to much space to run it on the usual right side. Will make a bracket to use on left side, i dont think the a12 bracket will work, will it?

It's definitely a couple step further than my engine in my ute, but not by far. The biggest difference being the porting. My wife can drive mine no problemo so I think you'll be fine... should be a rocket on the track.

just thinking of my 15 speed mountain bike when you change to a smaller cog on the peddal crank you go slower so dodgeman is right this would slow the water pump down

 Re: Worked A15
there is only two possible reasons i can think of for this
1. to drop compression with out the valves
hitting the pistons
2. to improve combustion flow
but i am just guessing
