the 1200 ones have round-tops

these are the emmision ones, i.e. not as good, beware!

As I understand it the flat top 1.5" SU carbs are almost identical to the round tops. As long as they still have the float bowls off to the sides you're OK. The notoriously bad flat tops are the Z car 1.75" carbs with the integrated float bowls. They are a completely different design and are crap.
