Full steam drifting accident and scalp shave going under a Hino that pulled out from a bamboo plantation. :)))))

The roll cage can be an mx5 type one like in the 1000 roadster I posted. I just got lazy after swooping the roof off :}}

What do you mean by "lowering the windshield to coupe height"? The 2-dr Sedan is overall only about 1cm higher than the coupe. Do you mean angling the windshield back to match the coupe's angle?

Here's the original:

I actually chopped the screen theoretically about four inches down so its really lower than the coupe as well and the angle well whatever looks good but I didnt change it from the orig.

The angle of all the 1200 windscreens is the same, it is an optical illussion.The sedan and ute door openings are 50 mm taller than the coupes. I have done a lot of planning in regards to all this as my next project involves joining a coupe front to a ute rear giving me 100mm longer doors for this old fella to get in and out easier and a longer cab space. And an instant 50mm roof chop. The joins can be made in the same positions as the original floor seams were, to keep it all looking factory.I will try and incorporate the coupe side vents as well to create a "coupe ute." The biggest problem is sectioning the rear screen panel to suit the new roof height but that shouldn't be too difficult.

Hmmm now that looks bloody good..lowering the screen to coupe height helps. I would happily cruise around in something like that..

It comes from the dream 2-door sedan link, its from one of my autoworx jp mags. 1200rc kindly scanned it for us. They are full of mad datto freaks and other jp cars.
As well as articles on the latest drift scene with blacked out no. plates.

Yes! Now that is a sedan I can get behind!
I was going to comment in the other thread that the only way I would want a sedan is to make a convertable. Again, it is the hunchback look fo the roofline (and the missing side vents and ugly grille) that I don't like about the sedan.
This looks good, well, it would be better with the side vents...

Now I know I should just keep my mouth shut but... isn't that "ugly grill" a coupe grill?
I estimate this conversion would cost about as much as a new blade for a Sawzall.

This, coming from a man with NO grille!
To revisit a statement I made to bent axle bob a while back, "for god's sake man, put a grille on!"

LOL the convertible deal seems like to much cash and sunburn! seems Ill have to put on one of those poofy roofs like old vw, minis or classic fiats had.
The ones that chop most of your roof but keep the main structure. Then again what am I talking about when australia is just drenched in uv thanks to the mother of all holes (ozone not Jerry springer ones) above us!
