Re: Dream 2dr sedan Still have the wagon I didn't get one inquiry ,one offer ,one bite I got zip. The latest Idea is to return the wagon into a full stocko as from factory so I can get some insurance and drive it. I did want to sell it becauce I was to worried about it getting damaged I now know I should not have spent so much money

Re: Dream 2dr sedan Thats the problem when you have a car that is finished as well as yours. With my last car, I couldnt sleep to think that a cockroach or spider in the garage would come in from outside and do a microscopic poop on it. Then when parked somewhere my eyes would b on the car not my beautiful date, then I would give the wrong impression to my date by jumping up in anger and ready to kill the person who came close to it or walked past it with their keys hanging of their hand (death, death, death to keyring carriers or trolley pushers outside the boundaries of supermarket carparks!!!). By then my dates would disappear and walk home. P.S. However ususally left with extra food and wine to gush down as I imagine the culprit being slaughtered on the side of the road as my car looked on eager to do burnout on the corpse. Wally good luck if you feel like I did. You could just inject an a12 bored to a13 with and run some low profile 175-55-14 with superlites or standard rims with some hubcaps from a 240,260 or 280c

Re: Dream 2dr sedan I'm sorry, but no matter how fixed up it is, a sedan is just BUTT UGLY! 1200rc, you started your 1600 (510) versus 1200 battle, I'll start my coupe versus sedan battle!

Re: Dream 2dr sedan Yeah, with that coupe grille, it is approaching ugly. Usually 2-dr sedans are merely homely, not ugly. As we previously discussed, the Coupes look better, but that's the only thing "better" about them.

Re: Dream 2dr sedan the grill, lack of front bumper, and the mirrors are not helping the situation. The flares and wheels look cool though. Maybe a small chin spoiler... like a BRE spook spoiler would look nice too.

And I like the bumperless look. It's the "Quasimoto" (you know, the hunchback of Notre Dame?) look of sedans that I dislike. "The bells! The bells!"

Re: Dream 2dr sedan All nissans have their characters. All attract in their own ways. Theres no use in saying one looks better than the other when they were both styled for different tastes (the dobberman and the rottweiler). The coupe is sleek boy racer design to appeal to many like those who like sweet ketchup on their fries and the sedan is a blunt raw beast to appeal to others who like Habanero chillies or an aquired taste for the wicked. I say the moire effect scan with dirty colors doesnt do it justice too cause the mag I gave 1200rc shows its true glory. especially from behind ;) Iits high unlowered stance sits too high too it should be as low as dimlight65's butchered heavy donked one. ;) You should see the dash! who would think turd brown would look good on anything? but only nissan knows how to do it. The grille well It could b chromed with kromed mirrors to match still looks a million bucks compared to ang94541's bad breath mk2 ford escort looking datsun avatar The lack of bumper reveals the japanese sinister evil samurai smile thats ready to absolutely devour screaming non-nissan owner pedestrians and the mirrors are the whiskers that make sure none get away after hearing the warning of the thumping webers (the bells, the bells!) coming over the rise... arrrrgghhhrr I love this hunched angry murdering brute beast!!!!!!!!! The quasidatto is missing its blind rose tinted glassed human casualties stamped in red on the size of its body. HoohoohooHaHAR HARR HAARRR!!!cough, weez, cough.. need more air... nike air shoe stuck in my intake....

Re: Dream 2dr sedan 3 things that make the 2dr sedan the best
1. upright shocks 2. fuel tank over back wheels these two equal better grip for when the ca18det goes in
and 3. lightest weight
maybe the 4dr sedan has no. 1+2 but the 2dr sedan pulls off all three things and still looks good
the coupe looks the best but when you get seriously technical it falls behind in the handeling department

Re: Dream 2dr sedan judging by the stupid faces im guessing you dont need the answer to that
i often forget the ute cause i always look at performance potential, sporty looks
but the ute is very cool, just not my first choice
i reckon you guys with the utes need to put those chrome 2inch rollbars like the newish falcon utes have that would look awesome

Re: Dream 2dr sedan Quote: ugliness = theft deterent I'd have to agree with the caveat of "thirty year old economy car that no one recognizes" plus ugliness = theft deterent! And 1200rc, the weight of the coupe's gas tank is behind the axle giving it a better leverage advantage over the sedan's tank. Not to mention it is lower to the ground compared to the sedan tank. The "straight up shock" argument I think is moot. You just need to use a slightly stiffer valving to make up for the loss of mechanical advantage. Let's ask Peter Zekert why he runs a coupe in SCCA GT racing. Shall we? I think the ketchup/Habanero analogy was bass-ackwards. It's the granpas out there who want the old fart sedans, while we X-game type, young whipper-snappers (um, Tim, you're 37 ) like the dead sexy coupes. Hey, I'm just kidding around here! We all like what we like for our own reasons. Final note, Utes do rule! I wish I had one.

Re: Dream 2dr sedan > 1. upright shocks
Close. It's the fact they are staggered that makes them better ... less spring wrap-up, more torque to the ground.
Why do more people have coupes? They look better to most people.
Why does PJZ run a coupe? He's running in a GT class, they use coupes. In Portugal, they race the 2-dr sedans ...

Re: Dream 2dr sedan I love ketchup but I was bored of my fellow X-genners going for the same deal so I went for spice and unlike my fellow sweet sugar ketchup lovers who have taste buds more suitable for Macdonalds, I choose the sedan for simply a little difference and better mechanical design (japanese "Moss Burger" taste buds - thats weird seaweed moss stuff, wasabi, chilli teriaki squid and fried sesame rice buns). The rear doesnt need revalving it works perfect standard and the tank well it sits were it wont blow up from some idiot underbraking behind you and then Boom. Here in Melb. Old farts drive perfectly original coupes that I admire and one day hope to get from their deceased estate. On the other hand, never seen a 2-door sedan in the same way for the trillian road hours I've clocked here and Sydney. Except for the usual reliable family 4 door. I like lighter weight and 20kgs is enough for me, Japanese and portuguese racers. i also love like in case I wasnt too clear... :} the evil proportions which only a heavy mazda rx4 sedan could match in its reptilian 70s days. The 1000 sedan 2-door was also the only body chosen for the winning 1,2,3rd position 1969 Japan rally Grand Prix out of 67 cars, the 1100cc and under class winning 67 bathurst (disqualified in 68 after coming first due to I think a small factory item) and . Its lighter weight made the difference for the 1ltr 10,000 rpm a10 throught its racing career ending in Malasia in 74. My uncles factory 240z twin carb was always loosing to his buddies so called "ugly" factory 240k 4 door only to find that in the nissan manuals the 240K was 985 or so Kgs compared to the Zs 1045. My uncle was lighter than his porkier street light winning friend and that pizzed him off naturally.

Re: Dream 2dr sedan Quote: Hey, I'm just kidding around here! We all like what we like for our own reasons. I like those words. Most of the Australians prefers the coupe also the Americans ( I think ). In portugal we have the sedans 2 and 4 doors ,the coupe and the pick up are rare . Personally I like them all , my favorite sedan is the 4 doors(that's what I have) ,but I liked to have also a coupe full equipped ,but I think the 2 doors of the picture equipped as it is he only needs some chrome parts (the bumper and the mirrors) . Bye
