Ill finish the linkage on the weekend and she'll be a goer. Standard manifold is 42mm so to save cutting it out i tappered the plate from 45mm down to 42mm Nice smooth progression.

![](http://datsun1200.com/images/icons/no_posticon.gif) Re: 1 3/4 inch SU adaptor plates Nice work, I'm about to put twin Hitachis on my partners auto A14 sedan, Im sick of worn out standard carbs and the whole cars due for an overhaul.
Is your red sedan still auto? How does the auto go with the twins? And can you still buy rebuild kits and needle/seats, i've got the A14 Flat top hitachis? Are the 1 3/4 carbs from a 1600 or Zcar?
Cheers

![](http://datsun1200.com/images/icons/no_posticon.gif) Re: 1 3/4 inch SU adaptor plates Nah its not auto anymore but i did run it with the twins for a little bit. Worked fine shift points were identicle.
Im currently running 1 1/2 twin hitachi su's which i did put kits through a while back but can't tell you if they are still available.
The 1 3/4 are actually off a triumph dolomite sprint. Needles seem almost right on for the worked a14. I can tell you though genuie SUs are much easier to get parts for than he hitachis.
