the dizzy is on its side right down the bottom of the block and makes it really fun to do point gap adj.

That was another thing that the Brits were good at. Designs that were easy to service, .... not. If ever there was a distributor that was crying out for a maintainance free Pertronix electronic ignition conversion kit, this would be it.

Note that the rocker cover is secured at 6 points around the perimiter while the Austin/Morris engine used 2 large studs along the centerline of the rocker cover. The Datsun ones don't leak, yet the redesign was minimal.

I'm sure that the Fanta powered ignition will give it an extra 0.36195 hp surge in power.

the fanta injection was for the benefit of my dad, who reckoned I needed nitrous of methanol injection to get the thing moving, so I told him he could shut up now, I have fanta injection
