dont know any details about this photo except that this was the only datsun i could find in a huge collection of old car pictures from the 70's. this is a digicam pic of a real b&w photo. |

 Re: 1000 racing in victoria this one is taken at sandown park in melbourne, that is the old pit straight in the background, before they moved the pits to their present position & changed the layout of this part of the track.they changed the layout to get a round of the world endurance championships in 1984,a real mickey mouse gearbox breaker being the result.i went to both this event & the one in 1988,where a certain schumacher won in a mercedes.

 Re: 1000 racing in victoria It looks to be a '69 Datsun 1000 two door seadn. It's the standard model & has an "optional" door mounted mirror. It looks like all of these 1000 racers were fitted with the much more practical door mounted mirrors.
With a race number of 6a, is it possible that this photo was taken at Bathurst?
