Well, since I bought dimlight65's mothers 510, she needed another Datto to fil it's place. So he bought her this...

Looks pretty tough, too.

Did they sell these down under, and as what? I think it's an HL910 chassis? Called a Maxima here.

no, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't the same from the A pillar rearwards as our Bluebird (910), but with a longer nose and very different front end styling. I assume it has a 6cyl L series? Our Bluebird came with 4cyl L20 and later CA20.

Yes, it comes with an L24E. And I too noticed the resemblance to the Bluebird of the same year.

It does look like they just stretched the nose about 6" for the bigger engine. What years were these Bluebirds sold? Ours were from 81-84.

exactly. it wouldn't be the first time Datsun did that. I've seen pics of 610s and 810s that got the same stretch treatment. It all started with the early (like '64) Prince Skylines. They also did wierd things along the way like shorten the nose of a C110 Skyline and fit the L18 4cyl!

Thats the same year models over here too.
