Hey guys I haven't been on here for ages but just thought I'd show that I've still been working on the old girl...

I'm really not sure how it goes. After exams I'll get a permit and get it down to an engineer so I'll find out then. It has some cold starting issues but once warm it runs like a dream.
I lie...I have driven it a little but frowning neigbours have discouraged me!

Yeah I'm building it on a pretty tight budget for now. Standard ecu and turbo. Small FMIC and 3inch exhaust. What would I be looking at....110-120rwkw I suppose. Nothing to right home about. Including the car it owes me just under $6000 so far with the only major things left to do are painting and engineering. Engineering may present more costs though

Man leave the car the way it just... Just turn the motor in to a C##t. And make sure your steering is all good. I had a wooksta the other night steering wise. It was pretty scary especially when accelerating like you do in a 1200 with a CA. Toughen up the driveline..

In a lightweight vehicle like a 1200, that's plenty to write about! 120 rear-wheel kilowatts is what, 160 rw hp? That's like 200 rated hp, which is like 400 horsepower in a Ford or GM 3600-pound mid-size car!

I like the low-budget, do-it-yourself approach. That's how I do it.
