 Re: Flywheel
This was my Christmas present from my wife. Nice, huh? I bought the clutch myself though.

Yes, it's for my ute which has a 5kg wheel on it now with no teeth left (well maybe one or two). Stock clutch is fried as well and the four speed's getting kicked to the curb as well... can't wait.

Well i recognise the floor, so i guess that you bought it. Looks like a new one too. 2.8 Kg is 6.16 lbs Hell, i've thrown frisbees that weighed that much. [OK, i lied] This is for the ute, ... right?

Whats the chance of getting one in OZ?? and how much would it be??
I'd rather chrom-molly than a lightened stock flywheel...

 Re: Flywheel
The only prob is with the integral ring gear if it gets damaged.
They are a great flywheel. but expensive. I believe about $750 landed in OZ duty paid..

 Re: Flywheel
Yeah that's the problem with the one I've got now... it's screwed and also integral. Got a new starter now though and the starter gear should wear before the cromoly one right?

Pitroad sells them and ship international.

 Re: Flywheel
Actually had a cro mo flywheel similar to this with that problem when I stupidly turned the ignition "on" again instead of turning to "off" on my first mazda r100. When I removed the flywheel with the big mutha 54mm nut I took it to an engineer in coburg who machined the rest off and made enough clearance for a new ringgear set of teeth to be put on from A.S.K. automotive. I never had a problem for 2 years of hard flogging. Expensive little lesson but all in all 150 buck repaired.
