Yeah that's a custom SC made from a turbo - I've seen other pics of this car elsewhere...

The exhaust housing has been removed and the drive pulley bolted on in its place as far as I can tell:

to me it looks as though the pulley ratio going to the turbo/supercharger doesnt look high enough to really get it spinning.it doesnt have a step up gearbox to get it going so i wonder how much of a advantage this thing gives??? prove me wrong id like to hear how it goes, just doesnt seem as though it wouldf be spinning quick enough to make much boost ???

 Re: DAT-186
looks like the pulley is small enough to get it spinning fast enough but maybe if turbos need to spin at 30-50,000rpm then its a problem.

After a second look, yes Holley or Weber 32/36 (I think they are the same anyway).

 Re: DAT-186

That's an interesting belt setup and SC location. I assume that's a Vortex type SC.

Any idea of what kind of boost pressure this set up develops? Is that a standard single barrel downdraft carb?

We need details!

Im pretty sure that is not a stock carby. Looks like a 350holley on redline manifold.

 Re: DAT-186
At 6800 engine RPM the blower is spinning at 140,000 Rpm, that whats it worked out to be, after it goes the the alternator then to another puller attached to the alternator the same size as the harmonic blancer then to another pulley the same size as the alternator. the carby is a 350 holley on a redline manifold.

i just made this set up out of stuff I had spares of, so if it doesnt work it doesnt bother me, i havent even bothered finisheing the blower yet as the ute cant even get traction as it is.
