The rear diff is stock from a 1200 sedan.
The front diff is stock from an 82 210 (b310) with an A12A. It's an HA38 (H150) as per the ID plate in the engine compartment.  It's also 1350mm axle to axle verses 1295mm for the 1200.  The drums on the 1200 diff add 5mm of width each.
No progress yet.  I was just moving stuff around.

HA38?? You got me there. I know about 3.9 to 1 ratios & the B310 with the 3.7 to 1 [HB37] but the 3.8 is a new one on me. Any chance you can send me a picture of the plate?

My factory [right drive] B310 manual describes a H150 diff with a 3.889 ratio [9 /35] & this would appear on the tag with a code of HA39 while the 3.7 diff [10 /37] is described as an H150A which would show on the tag as an HB37.
Confused yet? Hell, i am.
I wonder what the gear tooth count is to give you the 3.8 ratio. Probably 10 /38
Anyway, thats another diff ratio to add to the store of knowledge. I wonder if it is an A12a-only item.

Picture sent.
I have a 1980 service manual and it says the same about the H150. It also lists the h150 for the A12A and the A15 w/AT.

Angelo
Thanks very much for the picture of the tag, it reveals more than i expected.
The first thing i noticed is that it carries an international standard, 17 character, VI Number [VIN} while this had not yet been introduced in Australia & my B310 tags cary a Chassis Number, IE the wagon tag that i have has Chassis No. is WPB310 - xxxxxx [W = wagon, P = A15 engine, B310 = car model etc.]

I will add the picture to my folder & the fund of knowledge grows just a little more.
Thank you once again.

Like Angelo says, the 1980 factory service manual list 3.889. That's apparently what 38 means.
