Sprinter diff!! youre a bad man.
Lots of lsd centres available for this lightweight thingy and diffs are everywhere on sprinters, celicas and some coronas.

 Re: Sprinter Diff Conversion
I was trying to get the sprinter diff centre to fit into my H165 housing this was all going well until i fitted double row wheel bearings and found that the axels didnt line up in the centre this was because the housing was so badly bent.

So i then looked at using the sprinter housing because it uses larger and thicker tube. I have cut the wheel bearing ends off the sprinter housing and had the H165 ends machined down to fit inside the axel tube then when it was all nice and lined up i welded it.

The good thing about this conversion is the small sprinter axels have the same spines as the H165 so in using them my diff is axactly the same width.

The sprinter housing with all the crap cut off and the datsun wheel bearing end on it is only 1.5kg heavier.

Are you saying that the sprinter LSD centre fits into the H165 diff housing. Was a badly bend housing the only reason you didnt persue the changes

 Re: Sprinter Diff Conversion
Hey doods.A couple of things about the sprinter diff. Aus delivered sprinters came wiyh a pissy little s-series(6.37") diff, weak and no limo option.Prety much every other country on earth got the real one with the t- series (6.7")diff with a plethora of ratios and limos available for this thing. It's common for sprinter owners to fit a t-18 diff or RA40 celica diff as they are a straight swap and are t-series.All celica diffs are t-series and from ta22 (narrower than sprinter) to ra60 (wider)
you should be able to find one that fits the bill.2nd hand prices for limos are around $350 for a std toyota and $700 for a TRD 2-way(good good ####)with brand newies available for $1200-$1800 TRD, Cusco and Kaaz.Jdm disc rear ends are way over priced and the discs are tiny.I've just finnished fitting xf falcon venteds to an ra40 diff for my sprinter and it was very easy and am happy to share the info.
hope this is of help to someone
joe
