I was trying to get the sprinter diff centre to fit into my H165 housing this was all going well until i fitted double row wheel bearings and found that the axels didnt line up in the centre
this was because the housing was so badly bent.
So i then looked at using the sprinter housing because it uses larger and thicker tube. I have cut the wheel bearing ends off the sprinter housing and had the H165 ends machined down to fit inside the axel tube then when it was all nice and lined up i welded it.
The good thing about this conversion is the small sprinter axels have the same spines as the H165 so in using them my diff is axactly the same width.
The sprinter housing with all the crap cut off and the datsun wheel bearing end on it is only 1.5kg heavier.
