you pretty much have to take out the entire dash to achieve a succesful secure install here but its worth it as it looks realy tidy in this position

i had a sony xrc-1750 tape head unit in the same position, but in my old 120Y, but had problems on hot days, due to it cutting out, LCD wuld flash, coz it got really hot, u guys in oz hav it hotter than us kiwis, any thoughts??

yer....just bought me datto recently...and b4
and i bought a 1200 ute 4 100 bux...engine goes well
but got tha dash out of it...perfect no cracks or nuthink...
so installed tha head unit while...she was out....
lot easier..fits in just nicely...will get a pic

What is that cord coming out from the left near the glove box? Some rally thing?

Also, I think (IMO) that that part of the dash looks better if sprayed black...

Just some food for thought...

my mum got the smae one in her excel but they want $100 plus wat ever the parts cost to fix it its just as easy to buy a new one cus she has to go out to woop woop to get it fixed
