side veiw of the x-members. 120Y on left, 180B on right.

shows the relative alignments of the lower control arms relative to x-member mounting position. All lines up perfect in car using the forward set of chassis mounts in the 120Y from the factory. gotta love Datsuns! This is too easy...

180B uses pin type lower arm mounts (same as the 1600/510).

Any of the commonly used struts can be bolted onto the 180B steering arms:
Stanza, Skyline, 240K, 200B, etc

no problem. good luck with it. the only things I didn't sort out were what gearbox x-member and tailshaft - I sold it before I got that far.

I did it just like you, then I used B310 gearbox x-member, it needed little bit filing to car-side mounting holes, but with it I could attach all 4 bolts, standard x-member uses just one per side and I prefer to use all those four with L-series engine. Then I used Stanza 2-piece tailsaft, for bearing supply there's place from factory to bolt it up, that supply was quite wide and I made 180B centre bearing to fit, but I'm sure that there's some Datsun model which supply fits straight. With H165 this setup is perfect, with H145 that tailsaft is a bit too short as the diff itself is shorter and it makes centre bearing to come wrong place( I never actually tried, but I think that 710 160J long one-piece works with that setup as with H165 that was bit too tall) , but h145 is also weak, I crushed couple of them with my A15.... I wonder if that H190 is also taller than H165, and if it is how much as I also have couple inch shorter sencond piece of tailsaft from 910 which might be fitted without modifications?
