the main lines are third and fourth gear runs, dotted lines are air/fuel ratio for either

 Re: A15ett dyno results chart
well.... i was hoping it was better than 75kw

but on the plus side, it's amazing how fast it goes with only 75kw

and it shouldnt be hard to get another 20kw out of it with exhaust and injector mods

i do like how strong the power comes on right at the beginning in both curves, proves the twin turbo/small turbo theory

was running 9psi boost on optimax, no tricks just how i run it every day

this has just made me ache to get the exhuast and stuff done now to get her closer to the 100kw i was hoping for

tell me your thoughts............

ya can sorta see the potential power it has, which dies off once it's starts choking i believe anyway

edit: the dip in the second line would be a gear change ot just initial bogging down when spinning up the rollers

EDIT2:
pre turbo and injection days
hello the old 32/36 with mild cam and extractors

75KW equals out to about 104hp yeah? Its respectable, quite respectable but as you said theres got to be more hiding amoungst the miles of tubing !

Im not very knowledgable on dyno's but what rpm do you run it up to? Or is it done on speed?

How big's your exhaust/dump pipe(s)?
Dave

edit: how many runs you get?

I'm very impressed Michael.

That's some awesome figures.

Remembering that my old CA18det with 180,180,180,110psi compression, only managed 78kW at the wheels, and I used to enjoy that.

Go the Turbo'd A Series!

I think with some hours spent tuning the injection and ignition timing you could gain some more horses, what diff ratio and transmission are you running? maybe you can run higher boost too......maybe it would be safe to keep it at it's current level too so tell us what is it like to drive

 Re: A15ett dyno results chart
the turbo back exhaust is terrible, with no consideration for waste gate flow at the back of the turbos, and a tiny 1.75" system from the meeting point back im sure theres a decent number of KW's hiding there

and injectors are still maxing out at 4000rpm

i'm glad to hear others are impressed, im getting happier with it

it drives really nice, as you can see, power as soon as the foots put in, drives like any other injected car, and with the new block it revs out quite strongly, which is why i thought i'd get more power

im running a celica 5-speed with 4.11:1 h190 diff,

as this was a dyno shoot-out gear ratios and similar are not taken into account, i think thats why there's no torque curve

edit: 4 runs, best two up there, they control the car, they watch the curve and back off as soon as they see power start to drop off, not sure what revs was at

whoooo yeah that 1.75 inch will be costing you a good sized chunk of horse! what will you go up to? probably be ok for a 2.5-3.0inch single set up, I hate exhausts they can be so damn time consuming! when you fix the exhaust set up I think lag would be reduced heaps and you would get a bucket of midrange, can't wait to see more of it when you get it sorted out the way you want it, what injectors will you try next?

good work! nice figures especially considering the current exhaust setup!

should be an interesting match for my 12a since mazda claims 114rwhp and my engine is a little tired...

should have lined them up on the last cruise... oh well..

always next time....

just up to the posted speed limit of course

If you are real nice, I might bring out the 44hp A15 dyno graph!

Damn stuck dizzy!

looks like it 'comes on' at about 105kph in 4th gear?
what's that, about 3500rpm? higher if you've got a lower diff ratio than the standard 3.9

With a turbo, the dump pipe off the back of the turbo can't be too big. I can't wait to finish my new engine, and run her on the rollers.

gosh my A series was 106hp at wheels with 40mm webers porting only on intake 54/86 cam and 2.5 system.
Id say a 2.5 to 3 inch system will REALLY help here I would say at least 20hp alone with that mod.

Nice power figures.

I note that the HP is up about 46% more than the previous mildly modified A15. However, torque is up a whopping 132% -- no wonder it feels so fast -- it is fast. Torque is what accelerates a car.

 Re: A15ett dyno results chart
man that is a tuff looking setup that obviously works well. the only downside is when it comes on boost it is choking on fuel!

i would guess there would be another 10kmh(whatever revs that equates to) earlier boost by pulling some fuel out of that area. then it will look alot stronger there and i would guess another 7 kw as the top end is dying off as the fuel side cleans up so i am guessing the peak to be further down but not shown due to fat mixtures.
i can imagine it would be a fun thing to drive too with the hp coming on so damn quick!! once did a car that doubled its hp in 300 rpm now that was an experience and can only imagine you are having the same fun!!

fully sik bro

"and injectors are still maxing out at 4000rpm"

If thats the case..how come your AFR is rich as all buggery all across the board???

Also which is the 3rd gear run??
