Re: Hassled by the Datto Great racing from earlier on in the year. This 1200 runs an A14 and was giving me a really hard time in the twisty bits, especially once I'd killed my front tyres after 4 or 5 hard laps..
Awesome little car

Re: Hassled by the Datto thanks guys. the old bus is coming off the road for a year or so now, it's getting desperately ratty looking, and my mum's corolla has more compression. Tappets have closed up, so it's time to rebuild before it drops a valve.. It's probably 40hp down from it's best, although interestingly the laps times have only dropped a second or so as I get to grips with the setup Time to put the FJ24 in it, shout it a paint job, and I'll adapt an S15 6 speed in behind it, the old option #1 box is getting unreliable these days and the 6 speeds are getting cheaper by the month.. Got a new baby arriving in January, so it may be the last we see of the 240 for a while!!

Re: Hassled by the Datto Got me a six speed. Now the work to adapt it to an old FJ begins. Any one here played with these things?

Re: Hassled by the Datto got it for 800 bucks, apparently only got 4000k's on it, its out of a 2004 car that got destroyed last year. Came with a clutch, lever and driveshaft...
Got a bargain I reckon, It'll need a new first and 6th gear ratio to be really effective, but that's relatively cheap.
The datto is a sedan. He reckons it isn't tidy enough, so he's re-shelling it. Man, I'm giving up, you could eat off his floorpan...
