32/36, mild cam, extractors, polished head. All that for about 10 hp at the fly  :(

Sorry about the photo size- it took 10 attempts to get it into the album.

I hopped onto the end of an XR6 club dyno day for a bit of light entertainment. Surprisingly, the ford boys had a lot of respect for the datto (I think cos the workshop had a 12 sec ute in the carpark)

you had it dynoed before the mods?

If your going off the nissan/datsun figure i can tell you that it is waaaay inflated.

I would say thats decent grunt, bet it goes alright!

Yeah, goes ok, really good torque, well above the stock figure...... But I don't know if its valid. I calculated a torque curve from this power curve using the formula:
(hp*5252)/rpm

And it maxed at 80 lb/ft at the wheels (presumably corrected for diff). this implies well over 100 lb/ft at the flywheel @ 4000 rpm... not all bad news, but I need more torque

That sounds like a "mine's bigger than yours" moment there Neil
I'd say it was the same place, hyperdrive off alexander drive in the north eastern suburbs. Did you ever get a torque curve from that? Cos that power comes on with a bit of a rush compared to mine..... gearbox breakage????

EDIT: The drop & surge in the curve looks like it is AFR related- same as the one early on in my curve (if you have a magnifyig glass)
