Mine is a whole lot worse.. It varies between the halfway point, where the engine is nice and happy. And in hard driving around town, it'll go up to about where your saying yours goes, at
which point the engine will diesel a bit when I shut it off, and the engine will ping when I get hard on the gas. But when I take the thing out on the freeway, at 60mph it'll stay at the
halfway point, at 70 it'll go up about 3/4 way up, and at 80-85 it gets scarily high. I haven't replaced my thermostat yet, so that may be the problem.. And also, my fluid is a bit
dirty.. So I'm going to replace that..

I'd love a copy too, any chance of scanning it?
I could webhost it if you like? I don't think Datsun/Nissan would get too hassled by it's distribution, I'd buy it, if
it was freely available.

17,000? Is that in Indonesian Rupiah?
Surely no stock 1200 would be worth any more than AUS$4000 (AUS$6000 for a mint
1200 ute)
Obviously with modifications and in good condition it could be worth up to
maybe 10-11k.

I think your 17k was a typo? was it?

Chris

I have a list of needles by numbers. Take the needle out and see if you can see a number inked on top. I do not have the needle number for my SU at work, but will get that number
for you. I am running the Japan GX motor with SU.

I just got a set of fiberglass fenders from the guy at japco and it cost $420.00. These fenders are very rough and do not have any clip to bolt to frame. I have found a new place
www.showcars-bodyparts the fibreglass fenders are $149.00 each plus shipping. This guy has box flares also.I have all the pieces to my bubble flares back together and I am working
on a mold for them.

yeah, sweet!
my thermostat is sweet, it was new before the winter and the coolant is fine. i might wander out in a moment and get a price for a re-core, and also have a look at what i can get secondhand
from a wreckers.
nah, she has always lived in palmy, she is a real cool person, and a full on good looker too, so i dont mind the trip over, its a bit of fun winding the datto up on the takapu plains too.
yeah, i would ask nana to knit me another core, but now the spark plug booties are almost finished, she is gonna knit a cosey for the rocker cover, that will intergrate the master cylinder
and the wiper motor.
cher bol, too much, i will look into the C20 idea.
choice from chris.
just of note, seen as you reminded me, i saw a coupe, the same colour as mine donw in palmerston, it was in a workshop, must be getting hi-po parts fitted, no other reason for it to be
there... anyways, apart from the thousands of coups i see in shop windows everywhere, that was only the third i have seen the same colour as mine. pretty choice eh. im hoping i might see it
round next time im over. oh yeah, and if the person who owns it reads this my rego's GT96. sweet!

Sounds OK Chris - as long as your 28 year old temp gauge is still peaking. Check your thermostat and start saving for a recore or a replacement in good nick. I've never run
one but apparently the C20 cooler is a goer(?) Alternatively have Nana knit some new fins for you.

What really concerns me is why your girlfriend moved 200 k's away? You're not the famous Datto stalker of Palmy North are you?
