Worked CA. Toyota Hilux RN46 4.3 LSD unshortened (car has flares)
Know of earlier models hilux (RN10 or something like that) that will fit without flares.

SomeDAT,
The rears are probably R31 calipers, I'm pretty sure thats what maddat uses.
I have a similar setup on my CA coupe, R31 front calipers not Vl (these are almost identical to the VL turbo calipers, you can actually slightly trim VL pads to fit R31 calipers). Anyway my rear are Starion single pistion with ventilated rear discs, agian very similar in clamping size to the R31 rears. I use a 15/16 master cylinder without a brake booster. I bought this from Datsport a while ago. Car stops fine by the way. Booster will give you a lighter peddle feel but with this combo isn't really required (Depending on your engineer of course).

I feel your pain, diagnosing a problem like this is usually a bit of trial and error. I would have expected your tuner to be giving you more info then they currently are though.

What do the plugs look like after it breaks down. I.e is one cylinder acting up or do all look the same? Igniter failure should result in one plug looking different.

I've seen injectors fail to work under high fuel pressure, although this has been well above 14psi boost pressure (Around 60psi fuel pressure). Are you using a raising rate pressure reg?
Earthing is one of the most common causes of retrofitted EFI system problems. Make sure you have proper earthing. You will be surprised what a few earth leads here and there will do, particularly if you have the battery relocated to the boot/tray.

That's my two cents anyway.

5/16" will get you out of trouble.
I run 3/8" but that is usally considered overkill.

I'm hearing mixed things regarding the cost. Wasn't going to go due to the overall cost but this is the latest e-mail from Ray who is on the committee at the QLD Z car club sent to Buzz (member of QPDC and this forum).
Quote:

Hi Buzz/

As promised.

The cost as indicated for Nationals next year for the Show and Shine is a separate cost.

It was broken up as follows

Saturday is as follows

Car show starts 8.00 till 2.30

Drags start 4.30 and finish 10.00pm

1/ Show and shine $35.00-$45.00 to be finalized ( not all committee was at meeting last night)

2/ if you are lucky to be a winner in any of the categories and do not go to the dinner on Sunday night ($65.00 / person) and have not pre-booked for the dinner prior to the weekend you will receive your trophy/prize by other means (post or personal)

3/ you can purchase the NDN09 bag, shirt etc as separate items. Again if you require, these must be pre ordered prior to the day. Some will be available on the day

4/ the drags are a separate cost of $45.00 per vehicle

5/ practice for the Friday for the Sprint on the Sunday will be $45.00

6/ no entry cost to the Morgan Park complex on the Sunday

Trust that this is the information you require If not please ask and I will get answers

Regards RAY

Mate I don't want to be rude but just about every Forged pistion company sells them for the CA18det. ACL, CP, Arias, Tomei, etc.

A simple google search such as "Forged Pistions CA18DET" turned up 1950 hits within Australia. The first page turned up no less then 5 companies that sell them.

Hi guys,
Ive been working on replacing my diff with a Hilux version, things are progressing well so I thought i'd post up my progress.
Diff housing is from a RN46 Hilux and i bought a 4.3 LSD, I broke my previous diff at the drags just over a month ago (12.6 @112MPH). Anyway while ive got it all appart i decieded to replace the springs and all the bushes and design a Caltrac system for it. So here is the progress on the Caltrac.

I replaced the front spring plates with new ones i designed and had laser cut (made from 4mm Mild steel), these drop the front of the spring down 5mm (something i wanted to do to change the rear roll axis a little). Triangular Caltrac plates are 5mm Mild steel. 1/2" rod ends (left and right thread) and 3/4" 4340 CrMo steel was used as the rods. I am still waiting on some parts so it's not quite finished yet.

Todd,
I'll be there as well, usually turn up in my yellow 1200 Coupe but it's off the road at the moment as i'm upgrading my diff and rear suspension. Still worth turning up even without the car IMHO.
