A14 turbo in a 1000 with a H165 ute diff, didn't worry about getting it shortened, did the same as Perth ute, just let it hang out.

Worked CA. Toyota Hilux RN46 4.3 LSD unshortened (car has flares)
Know of earlier models hilux (RN10 or something like that) that will fit without flares.
