I don't have anything against the 1200 sedan,I think its a nice looking car. Its just that the coupe has always been the most desired car on my list since I was 14 years old back in 1972.(I
know my profile says I m 34, but thats a typo. I m 43.) Back then I had seen 1200 sedans on the road, but I never guessed it was the same car as the coupe. I actually thought the 1200 sedan
was a 510 with a 1200 motor!( as a teenager I was pretty naive and I didnt pay much attention to the difference in body styles between the 1200 sedan and the 510 back then.)
I presently have 2 coupes, one is my project car with a b-210 engine, driveline and complete front and rear suspensions. I had to swap all this stuff on it from a B-210 bcause that coupe was
just a shell when I got it and I couldnt find any 1200 parts for it. It looks and drives pretty good now. It has a bright red paint job. The other coupe is a bone-stocker that I picked up
last August. Thats the next project that I m going to restore.

It doesnt look like anyone in the USA has any new windshields in stock for the 1200 coupe, but if you're willing to pay about $350.00,Perfect glass in Australia has them. The windshield
itself is only about $80. but the shipping charge is about $270.00. Shipping from Australia costs more than the w/s itself, but if you could get a new one here in USA it would cost
about $350.00 anyway. Their website is www.perfectglass.com/au
I almost bought one from them, but at the last minute I got lucky and was offered a used w/s from a member here in the club.I dont want to cause trouble by telling you who I got the w/
s from, but maybe if he has any more, he will contact you. Good Luck

Yeah, I thought of that, but I had checked the engine performance with 3 different electronic ign. distributors. Didnt solve the problem. Thats why I suspected the ignition module
was at fault and switched to points'n'condensor dist., but then again, I was too cheap to buy a new module. I had gotten second hand modules from the junkyard, which were all
probably bad too.

When I first fired up the a-14 engine that I had put in my 1200 coupe, it had the same problem that you are having..Misfiring , rough idle, jumpy timing marks when checked with timing
light, Like you, I replaced the cap, rotor, wires, some electronic ignition components, all with no improvement. I even replaced the ignition module that I found in junkyards, twice. Finally
I gave up and decided to try a points and condensor distributor from a 1974 B-210, and Viola! Problem solved. It seems to me that the problem was the ignition module, but I dont have to
worry about that anymore. It has run great and idles like a purring kitten ever since I switched a year ago.

Hey, How do I add photos to the Photo Album section? Every time I try to add an album, I get the message "The number of albums per club is limited. Try deleting some, first." Whats
up with that? I could always put my pictures in the "Links" section, but that wouldnt be the right place to put them, would it? I m trying to add my 1200 photos from my AOL album.

It was me who got the 1200 coupe. I thought it would be nice to have an un-butchered bone stocker coupe to restore to orginal showroom condition. Now I ll have an
orginal coupe alongside my modified a-14 coupe. Sorry Wubbits. Didn't mean to cause trouble.

Yes, the 120y crossmember will fit in the 1200 coupe, but the bolt spacing is different, so you will have to move the 120y xmember forward 1 bolt hole and then drill hole in the 1200 frame
where the other bolt hole in the 120y xmember is supposed to be. The 120y steering linkage will bolt right in place. Of course, you will have to use the 120y struts if you want to use the
120y linkage. I had to do all this to my 1200 anyway, because it was almost a shell when I got it, and I couldnt find a 1200 engine and tranny, so I thought, What the heck, why not just swap
the front suspension , engine, tranny , diff, etc from a 120y?My 1200 is coming along great. The only thing not stock in my 1200 is all the above mentioned modifications, but it would be hard
to tell unless u opened the hood for a look-see. Of course , like MareoSpeedWagon is fond of saying, you can do this if you're mechanically inclined.
