churchill is about 150km east of melb, in gippsland. It does run, well it did 3 months ago when i moved it. I would recommend driving it, i think its done uni or a pinion bearing.
What wrong with it, not too much, i bought it to do up. A bit of rust in the boot floor, bit of a bang in the drivers side rear corner.

I still haven't sold the 1200 so it's back in here.
$350
It's taking up room in the yard, someone take it before it gets crushed.

Wouldn't the sugar in the fanta glaze the bores and wreck stuff, like when hooligans put sugar in the tank.
Just a thought

i give up, it has sat in my garage for 4 months and still hasn't been touched so im gettin rid of it.
The only real rust is in the boot floor.
It has driver side rear damage that the previous owner did a sh*t job of fixing but the rest of the body is kinda straight.
It does run and drive but i think it has done a pinion bearing (makes a clunking noise).
I had it up on a hoist when i bought it, rails and floorpan are in good condition.
Comes with stanza control arms and caster rods, complete 180b struts and hubs, stripped 260z struts, brand new slotted vt discs drilled to 114.3mm on machined 260z hubs, vt calipers.
All i want is the $500 that i paid for the car .

Has anyone tried the conversion described on M.Pots 1200 mods site with the XB-XF discs on the 180b strut? 1200 Mods brakes page (hopefully)Just thinking it would be easier than restudding a hilux diff. Also would there be better (easier to find) calipers than the p76 items? Any other suggestions???? Thanx Aaron

I would never install anything that claims to make a computer faster. If its only me getting the popups, i think its time to backup and format. Havent done it for a couple of years and 115gb of sh*t takes a while to backup.
I agree with you about the scum that have all but taken over the net. i posted my email address on an LCD discussion board and have been getting spam about winning 250million dollars ever since. 20 emails a day of complete crap is beyond a joke.
Im gunna crack open a couple of boxes of blank dvds and vanish from the net 4 a day or two.

I've been trying to work out basically the same thing. I have VT calipers bolted to 180b struts, but the 296mm VT discs are too large in diameter to fit and the bridge on the front of the caliper fouls on the bridge of the caliper.
Must be the caliper mount on the strut is closer to the spindle than on a common-dore.
The only way i can see it working is to reduce the diameter of the disc to about 180mm and grind some off the caliper bridge for clearance to the hat, but i'd say grinding the caliper would create strength and engineering issues on a street car.
Or use another disc, i cant find my paperwork at the moment but i think 2000 toyota hiace or nissan xtrail discs would be the go on 180b hubs(mounted on the inside) which is a PITA coz ive got VT discs drilled to 4x114 and cant use them.
By the way VT-VY calipers won't bolt up to stanza struts.
