I have got the same conversion done on my ute and i welded original brackets from 1200 diff to commodore diff and used same thickness u-bolts only longer in length. looks original. u-bolts should be strong enougth. have got sr20det. running 2 link kit to diff for added support. Good luck with conversion!

Easy one! fuel gauge and temp gauge share the same ignition power supply reducted through a voltage reducer. found on back of dash. Make shore any bolt on back of dash are tight and tighten any pins inside of plugs. look out for any burnt section of printed circuit. bad connection is most likely cause of fault, we sparkies see this all the time.

I've got a datsun 1200 ute with sr20det, unfinished project. motor starts and runs, front mount intercooler (apexi) , nismo engine mounts, nismo brass button clutch, body in poor condition needing rear 1/4 and rust in usual spots. R31 front struts fitted, TRX diff supplied but not fitted yet. Possibly thinking of selling. Excellent project but needs lots of work to complete. might want to sell for serious buyer. Im in sydney.
