Hiya!

I just took delivery of my first road registereable datto the other day and she is gonna be a slow project build as well as a daily but i have a question for all you knowing datheads.

the set up is this a12 bored 40thou, flat top pistons, 10.8:1 comp, diamond laped decked block and shaved head, ported, a15 inlet valves/mazda 1300 exhaust valve, double valve springs, 34/72 cam and the issue is the twin 40mm side draught webers, which currently have filter foam cut outs cable tied on as air filters and I want to get some proper ones on, but after scouring darwin (took about an hour - not a big place) i have found that no one stocks anything that is gonna work for me. what filters would you guys go with considering the space restrictions... this is how i bought the car, and I will be modifying the engine bay set up later to sort these sorts of things out but for now its doing my head in.

redline\lynx\whatever have a lot to answer for with those manifolds, why couldn't they just angle them up and make them shorter?

Machine (surface grinder) some flesh off the manifold flanges on both the head flange and carb flanges.
