I was thinking today. I know where i can get a spare a15 intake manifold. It seems like I could use a stand alone ECU and a few other odds and ends and rig up MPFI.

Is it worth doing? I imagine I'll learn a bunch of things doing it. It doesn't seem that difficult to do.

Try an E series as I think that the EFI manifold bolts up to the A series with very little mods............. so I have been told.

E series engines came in nissan sentras/sunnys in the early 80's. Only the e15et came with mpfi.

I have an e15et complete engine that i'm working in putting in my b11 sentra.

The problem is that there are few MPFI E series engines in the states.

I'm not sire about the A / E series intake ports having the same spacing. I think i might have to get the a15 intake and see what's what.

What mods are needed to make an E series intake manifold work?

Would it work ok if I just used the a15 intake and had holes made for the injector in each runner and put a throttle body right where the carb used to be?

I've seen that thread before. I'm so anxious to try this. I know I should probably be finishing painting the car or getting my weber rebuilt.

That link doesnt seem to have anything to do with fitting an E series manifold to an A series, athough the E to A series swap does sound interesting. I would love to hear more about it. Who told you of it? maybe they can shed a bit of light on the subject.

Cheers Steve

I was told about this by a mate of a mate, who use to work for nissan NZ at the time the E series sunny/pulsars were being imported fully assembled for aussie. One day I'll find a E series manifold and have a look.

The reason why I posted a link to that page was to show another way of doing EFI.
