I was just mucking around in photoshop and discovered that if you made a picture of your car negative it becomes really easy to pick up how straight it is. You can easily pick up panel warping and rust.

For example, in this picture of my car, it is easy to pick up the bog job in the guard and the slight warp in the doors.

A panelbeater friend passed this on to me.....

The easiest way to pick up slight ripples, dents etc.

Run your hand along your panel.... Smooth right?

Now, do the same thing with a rag between your hand & the panel....... You'll be amazed at what you pick up.

On the other hand..... Maybe it's best not to know

Well, I may be in the minority, but I can see more problems looking down the passenger side with the regular photo than the reversed photo. The ripples in the lower portion of the door and the fender seem to stand out more in white than black.

The front section tells me the brakes need some work!
